Parent Involvement Information

The Montecito Union School Foundation (MUSF) is our school’s PTO and was founded in 2018, as a result of the combination of MUS PTA and the Montecito Education Foundation (MEF).  Our mission is to enhance academic, athletic and arts programs, enrich the student experience with technology, curriculum, and improved classroom resources, and elevate our teachers through professional development and continuing education.  In past years, the combined commitment (PTA and MEF) to our school has been over $300,000 per year.  Our primary goal is to improve upon this nominally every year, while increasing parent participation and school community.  We cannot do this without you!

The MUS Foundation is made up of an executive board of 12 parents, 1 teacher representative, and advised by the superintendent.  All are welcome to attend the meetings, held after drop off on the first Thursday of the month on campus.  Besides joining the executive board, there are many opportunities to get involved, from chairing major events and fundraisers, to volunteering on campus with our MUSF school programs, and helping out during our Community Building Events.  The best way to get involved is to watch for ParentSquare postings on volunteer signups, and to contact the president at President@MUSFoundation.com.  We would love to see all parents participate to be a part of our amazing school, and welcome any and all help and ideas.  We cannot run the school programs and events without you!
